My knee

I hurt my knee playing basketball. Now I cannot play for a couple of days. It hurts so much and I have to go to the doctor. It is all black and blue and swollen. It stinks that I hurt my knee and I am mad because I don't get to play for a little bit.

Madi's Hair

Everyone asks Madison G. if she gets a perm but she doesn't. Her hair is naturally blonde and curly. One day i was at her house and it took her so long to make it as curly as it is. She had to put three different products in it and then she used a special hair dryer to make it curly also. I love Madi's curly hair but I am so glad that it doesn't take me that long to do my hair.

Mary Poppins

Mary Poppins
Have you ever seen a lady that can clean by snapping? If you haven’t I think that you should see the movie “Mary Poppins” by P.L. Travers. Mary Poppins is a young woman who is magical. She is a nanny that changes the way the children think. Mary Poppins is a highly unrealistic story that has a twist of romance that follows the plot line.

Just because Mary Poppins can do no wrong doesn’t mean she is a good nanny for the Banks family. In the movie, Mary Poppins can fly and can clean by snapping. The movie is highly unrealistic when Mary Poppins flies or talks to animals. She makes the children happy when she uses magic. The children think it’s amazing but does the dad?

Besides that Mary Poppins fallows the characteristics of Romance it follows the plot line too. First in the beginning of the movie the Banks family looses their nanny which is a minor conflict but they got Mary Poppins so things were looking up. But their dad was still mean and rude but by the end of the movie the dad was nice again, it was like he was a whole new person.

Also in Mary Poppins has symbolism that follows the romance plot line. One symbolism is white doves if you remember in the pastel, chalk world they flew right in front of the whole screen. In the fantasy land there were animals singing and dancing which again unrealistic. Also the banks families’ house is very big and luxurious which is also one of the symbolisms.

The movie Mary Poppins is highly unrealistic. She can fly and use magic. The movie follows the plot line, characteristics, and symbolism. That’s why romance is the mode of literature.

Las Vegas

Last year I went to Las Vegas for my brother Mike's wedding. My brother is in the Air Force and is stationed in Las Vegas thats why his weddng was there. My Brother's wife Trena is also in the Air Force. Now my brother's wife is having a baby boy in February. They are going to name him Liam and he will be my second nephew. My first nephew is 6 and his name is Griffin. I am so excited to have another nephew but I am sad that my brother will not be home for Christmas this year!

Two Rivers

When our select team went to state last year we played a team from Two Rivers. We had really bad refs and everyone on our team had at least two fouls. Two Rivers was a tall team but they had one girl that was really tall. They also had a very mean coach. When our team would do our free throws he would talk really loud to distract us and we would yell so much at his players. There were four seconds left in the game and we were down by two points, but we got it in and made a three pointer. Everyone was so happy except for the other team especially the other teams coach. After the game I was so happy that we won but I felt bad for the other team because we saw the other coach screaming at his players. I hope we never have to play Two Rivers again!

It was a windy day when the man crossed the road and went into the bus station. The mans name was John. John was a New York detective on an investigation. He was wearing all black investigating a girl named Carly following a man named Bill. They are at Giordano's Pizza. Bill is walking towards me so, I have to leave. I stand outside the window just looking at Carly. They got there pizza, ate it and then left. I followed them to Carly's hotel. Once Bill left, I went in. I couldn't find Carly anywhere. After looking for her for her for 2 minutes he realized she was already out the window. I then went out the window and saw her crossing the street but I was to slow. She was already gone. I went back to my house and lied down for a while. I opened my eyes to find 3 men including Bill standing over me. They said...
"Stand up"
I stud up and asked what this is all about.
"Where is Carly?"

My dads store is closing

There are signs all over my Dad's store saying stores closing. Everyone keeps asking me if it is and I keep tell them that it is not closing. My dads store was just closing for a couple of days to clean it and remodel it. Now there is a huge sale going on until after Christmas time.

Subjects

I don't like science and spanish. They are my two worst subjects! They are both on B days and that is why i like A days more then B days

School Basketball

I love school basketball! Everyday we have practice and I always have fun playing basketball with my friends. Some of the names of friends on my team are Abby G., Madi G., Carson C., Ashley B., Katie D., Kristie T., Nicole T., Courtney J., Taylor R., Dani V., and Hannah M. My coach is Mr. Giese and he is really nice. He is a very good coach and math teacher. My number for basketball is #5. #5 has always been my favorite number. In high school my mom, and both of my brothers all had #5 as there number. We have 3 plays. 1 offense and 2 out of bound play.

Does Patriotism still matter?

Patriotism

                Do you think patriotism still matters?  Patriotism is love, support and defense for your country.  There are 5 branches of the military.  They are the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard.  Patriotism still matters because if it didn’t matter no one would be fighting for us.

            People in the military are very brave and some people don’t realize it.  The army is one of the dangerous armed forces.  Every single day there are so many people that die for us that we don’t even know.  In World War 1 about 16 million people were killed and about 21 million people were wounded.  Would you risk your life for someone you didn’t know?

            Everyone in the military is brave including my brother, Mike.  He is in the Air Force.  He builds bombs every day.  My brother is not the only person in my family that is in the military right now.  My brother, his wife Trena, and my cousin Danielle are all in the Air Force right now.  I think that what they do can be very dangerous but I couldn’t be more proud of them. 

            Although the Air Force is dangerous the army is more like in Afghanistan and Iraq there are wars going on that are killing thousands of people.  Every single person in the war or military is telling you that even thought they don’t know you that they care about you.  Our country should support the military more.  Most people don’t know what they are doing and sacrificing for us.  They leave there home, there family and almost there whole life for our country.  Now that is patriotism. 

            Support is a big thing that people should do more, but patriotism still matters so much.  If u think about it every single person in the military has patriotism for their country.  Patriotism still matters to this day and it should matter for a long time.
